TWA President Jack Frye, accompanied by TWA Hostess Nan Reis, congratulate Orson Welles as Number #1 Member of the new Sky Chief Club. Orson Wells flew more miles than any other Transcontinental & Western Air passenger in the year 1939. This event is just one year after Orson Welles became a world celebrity with the terrifying world radio broadcast, 'The War of the Worlds', on Halloween of 1938
